ICADA Clean

For many consumers, the plant-based origin of cosmetic raw materials is no longer enough, especially as natural raw materials also have a toxicological profile. Cosmetic products should now be "safe" and "harmless" and no longer necessarily count as natural cosmetics for this purpose. Many companies want to meet this customer demand. ICADA has therefore launched the clean label. ICADA clean stands for the conscious avoidance of substances from the ICADA blacklist.

Conditions for the use of the license

ICADA members or label partners do not have to pay any license fees for the clean label. The label is not available to anyone else.

Procedure

All cosmetic products that do not use substances from the ICADA blacklist can apply for authorisation to use the ICADA "clean" quality mark. For this purpose, the label users only need to prove that no blacklisted substances have been used by submitting the product INCI (no expensive certification procedure, no formulation disclosure). In addition, the applicant must provide an affidavit that the INCI list submitted is complete. The INCI list and the affidavit must be submitted to ICADA. As soon as you have ICADA's confirmation of conformity, send us the signed licence agreement. ICADA will then check whether you are an ICADA member or label partner and whether the requirements for using the label are met. If these are met, you will be sent written authorisation to use the ICADA mark and the certificate for the compliant products.
