As one of the major European cosmetics associations, ICADA prefers to support and inform companies in the small and medium-sized business sector. Member services, sales support, representation of interests and information for the cosmetics industry are the main focus of ICADA's activities. It also promotes business start-ups in the cosmetics sector.

Member service

The cosmetic chemists, natural product chemists, dermatologists, toxicologists, lawyers and other experts in the ICADA team answer members' questions and provide assistance on any industry topic.

ICADA advises its members on legal issues such as the Cosmetics Regulation, the Packaging Act, competition law and other EU and national standards. In addition, ICADA supports its members in their dealings with the authorities or customs. But ICADA also provides practical advice on competent, reasonably priced safety assessors, contract manufacturers, small-volume raw material and packaging suppliers and consultants for cosmetic products. ICADA members can expect help with the creation of specifications and framework agreements in contract manufacturing and many other support services.

Sales support

Representation of interests

As the international cosmetics association with the largest membership in Germany, ICADA has its own seat in the European Commission's Cosmetics Working Group and can therefore influence the legislative process on behalf of its members.

In addition, ICADA is in contact with other European institutions (SCCS, EU Parliament and EU Council), ministries, supervisory authorities, national institutions and other associations in order to bundle common interests and act in the interests of the cosmetics industry.

Information

ICADA's work provides it with the latest insider information on scientific innovations, new markets, proposed legislation and emerging trends.

ICADA members are sometimes exclusively informed about this. In addition, ICADA also frequently informs the more than 6,000 German-speaking - and, depending on the topic, many other international - industry participants who have not (yet) opted for ICADA membership. Conferences, congresses, seminars and the ICADA EXPO trade fair are integral parts of ICADA's information portfolio for the cosmetics industry.

Funding for business start-ups

ICADA has set up a start-up program under which there are no membership fees for the first year of ICADA membership and ICADA quality labels - which are otherwise subject to a fee - can be used free of charge.

In addition, the start-up program supports companies in all stages of company development. Especially in the start-up phase, the need for information and support is just as great as the risk of mistakes that can cost a lot of money later on. ICADA is on hand to support start-up companies in the cosmetics industry.
