ICADA Vegan

Many consumers opt for vegan cosmetic products, even if they may not consume exclusively vegan products in their diet. There can be many reasons for this, but they usually have to do with animal welfare. Certified natural cosmetics cannot be a substitute for a vegan seal, as natural cosmetics are not the same as vegan cosmetics, as natural cosmetics also contain animal ingredients such as eggs, milk, honey and others. While many people find it difficult to change their diet, the decision to buy vegan cosmetic products is easy to make, as long as they are labelled as vegan cosmetic products. This has prompted us to issue a label for vegan cosmetics.

Conditions for licence use

The licence fee is € 50.00 net per year and product up to a maximum amount of € 1,000.00 net (no further licence fees are charged for more than 20 products). The label can only be acquired by ICADA members or label partners.

Procedure

To acquire the label, you must have a certificate from a certification body appointed by ICADA confirming the conformity of your product to be licensed with the ICADA standard. To do this, you can contact an ICADA-recognised certification body directly.

As soon as you have the confirmation of conformity, send it to ICADA together with the signed licence agreement. They will check whether you are an ICADA member or label partner and whether you fulfil the requirements for using the label. If these are met, you will be sent written authorisation to use the ICADA mark and the certificate for the compliant products.
