ICADA Global Ethics
Environmental awareness and sustainability are increasingly becoming factors in purchasing decisions. Many consumers are prepared to pay a higher purchase price for a sustainable product or at least prioritise such a product over an equivalent non-sustainable product. The "Global Ethics" seal from ICADA takes this development into account. The seal acts as a meta-standard. It is not intended to add yet another label to the many global standards for sustainability, fair trade, CSR/social responsibility, environmental factors, life cycle assessment, carbon footprint, water footprint, waste disposal, etc. Global Ethics should be usable as a summarising umbrella brand for every type of ethical criterion in the cosmetics market by checking whether ICADA has recognised certifications in the area of sustainability or environmental protection for the raw material properties of the product in question.
The Global Ethics label is awarded for proof of one or more qualifications

Conditions for licence use
ICADA members or label partners do not have to pay any licence fees for the Global-Ethics label. For all others, the label is not available for purchase.
Procedure
To purchase the label, you must have a certificate - recognised by ICADA - in which the product to be licensed is certified as complying with one of the above criteria. This certificate must be forwarded to ICADA. The certificate, your ICADA membership or label partnership will then be checked and it will be assessed whether the requirements for using the label are met. If these are met, you will be sent written authorisation to use the ICADA mark and the certificate for the compliant products.
