Global Ethics Cosmetics Produktzeichen
Global Ethics Concept
The "natural cosmetic"-market" has turned into the "green ethics" market, where others than organic and natural cosmetic standards play a major role. Modern consumers like LOHAS want to make a political decision in conjunction with buying cosmetic products and demand ethical raw material- and finished product-properties like
1. sustainability
2. fair trade
3. yield-awareness: energy-consumption, carbondioxyde-production, water-waste
4. CSR/social commitment in the production-chain from seed over harvest to consumer-skin
5. Environment friendly production
6. biodegradability
7. no GMO (no genetically modified organisms)
8. rainforest protection, RSPO
9. biodiversity
10. green chemistry production procedure (selected catalysts, natural solvents, waste-management, rework...)
11. specified packaging
12. 3rd world projects
13. fair competition of manufacturers and distributors between each others
14. less environment pollution than state of the art
15. transport versus regional sourcing-calculation
16. responsibility of limited resources (mica, talc, zinc....)
17. and others due to ICADA-member-companies-suggestions...........
You cannot certify your raw material or finished product under all of the relating standards. But most of all, the customer and the consumer is fed up with learning another new standard, as we have experienced from natural cosmetic standards already.
To save consumer and industry from another label-confusion right from the start ICADA has developed the global ethics®-standard, which is a
- meta-standard based on all global-wide accepted ethical standards like 1 - 17 ("one for all labels")
- is in compliance to any of the world-wide accepted standards in the area of 1 - 17
- is communicated to the market as a brand-platform/"Dachmarke" for all ethical criteria
- global ethics-label on the product assures "ethical" property in raw material/finished cosmetic product
- add-on raw material property, which can be claimed for existing raw material without any additional effort
- add-on finished product property, which can be claimed for cosmetic products by your customer without any additional effort
- accepts all accredited certifications to grand the "global ethics®"-certification for market-visualization on top
- certifies analog all accredited standards without charging the basic and annual costs of these sophisticated standards
- does not bind to a small spectrum raw material-selection like natural cosmetic standards do
- might even be available for special synthetic raw material to enter the "green market"
- is open to any conventional supplier-company, not only to green suppliers
Pragmatic as ICADA is known for
1. easy to register, fast to apply, cheap to be licenced
2. certified by known, well reputated certifying body with world-wide affiliates
3. managed by the initiator of the BDIH-standard for natural cosmetic
